1. Exploring the Site
The main menu, always visible at the top of the page, allows users to navigate the different sections of the website.

It is organised into the following categories:

1.1 Project
• PNRR: explains the Accademia’s role in the PNRR project, with particular emphasis on Spoke 3, which focuses on the digitisation of cultural sources.
• Digitised Materials: an overview of the types of content available through the platform.

1.2 Materials
This section introduces the different categories of digitised resources:
• Manuscripts: codices dating from the 11th to the 17th century.
• Incunabula and antique books: a collection that includes many unique items.
• Correspondence: over 10,000 letters from Giovanni Gaetano Bottari, 18th-century librarian of the Corsini Library.
• Drawings and Prints: a corpus of drawings from the 16th to the 18th century and a collection of works by Piranesi.
• Publications of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei: proceedings and series published by the Accademia from 1871.
Each category provides a short introduction, historical background, and methodological notes.

1.3 Featured Paths
This section offers thematic and chronological paths, guiding users through content grouped by topic. These paths are displayed in an interactive carousel, inviting users to explore the digital library from multiple disciplinary perspectives.

2. Searching the Content
2.1 Basic Search

Users can quickly search across all available materials using the keyword search bar on the homepage.

2.2 Advanced Search
The advanced search is accessible via a link on the homepage.
It allows users to refine searches using one or more of the following criteria:
• Keyword
• Author
• Title
• Date (specific year or century)
• Material type (selectable from a dropdown menu)

3. Viewing Search Results
Search results appear on a dedicated page. Users can narrow results using filters (e.g., material type, date, etc.).
Clicking on a result opens the detailed record, where users can browse the content image by image.
